Prison tattoos are used to express different things. For instance, tattoos are used to remember people who have died or to mark a special anniversary. 3 Dots:- This tattoo is very common in prisons. It can either be worn on the eye or on the hand. The tattoo is largely worn by Hispanic inmates, which means my crazy life’. The dots make up the phrase Mi Vida Loca.
Aryan brotherhood :- The Aryan brotherhood use shamrock as their image in tattoos. It relates to the white prison gang of the Neo-Nazis. Other images that may be used to identify Aryan brotherhood are; the letters AB, number of the beast 666 and the number 12.
Point crown:- The five point crown symbolizes the Latin king gang, which is among the largest Hispanic gang in US. The gang originated in 1940s in Chicago.
Clock with no hands:- It symbolizes long prison sentence. The prisoners take this tattoo to mean that time is meaningless. After all, they are under long sentences.
Teardrop:-The widely accepted meaning of tear drop is that the wearer has killed someone. It can also mean that the wearer is mourning.
